25: I Pity This Fool
Mr. T was clearly talking about my new comic, so check it out!
I’ll get right to it: I have an exciting new project to share you you all!
If you’re here, you’ve probably seen the short medieval horror comics I’ve been releasing with Christos Pittas on art and Reed Hinckley-Barnes on letters.
Well get ready because the next installment is a little different. If you liked our previous stories, you’re going to LOVE this one…
It’s definitely our best yet!
I’m going to tell you more about it now and in the coming weeks, but first will you do me a favor and click the button under the handsome fellow below?
This is a 22-page medieval horror story and we’re taking it to Kickstarter! Why?
It’s a story that needs to be in print, so we’re crowdsourcing a limited edition print run. This tale of medieval horror is one you’ll want to hold in your hands to see all of Christos’ intricately detailed linework up close and personal.
So please hit that blue button above to get notified about the Kickstarter launch!
What’s the story about?
The Fool of Dorchester is about an anxious lord’s descent into madness and paralyzing indecision after his best friend and confidant, the fool of Dorchester, is brutally boiled alive and sent back as a pile of bones in cap and bells.
It’s got a spooky jester skeleton, a full-scale medieval siege and shocking moments like you won’t believe.
Weird, creepy and heart-wrenching, you’ve never seen anything like it! Speaking of, just take a look at this incredible art…
That blue button below will take you to a page where you can sign up to get notified as soon as the Kickstarter launches! We’d love for you to join us in getting this special project off the ground.
Next time: a deep dive on medieval jesters!
I did a lot of research on court jesters when writing this story and what I found was truly fascinating and a major inspiration for the story. In my next newsletter, I’ll speak more to the background of this comic and the history of fools in medieval Europe.
Plus, I’d love to share some of Christos’ behind-the-scenes work, including character sketches and rough layouts.
Sound good? Thanks for reading and see you then!

Fucking metal AF!
